...The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in New Mexico... Animas River At Farmington affecting San Juan County. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Animas River at Farmington. * WHEN...From this morning to late Monday night. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Portions of the riverwalk in Farmington are flooded. Local overbank flooding is occurring along the lower Animas River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 11:30 AM MDT Friday the stage was 6.9 feet. Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 9.0 feet Monday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter. Action stage is 9.0 feet.
