What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. The heavy rainfall and slow movement of these storms will result in flooding of road intersections, low lying areas and normally dry arroyos.

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 915 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 621 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen over Las Vegas. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Las Vegas. This includes the following highways... State Road 518 between Mile Markers 1 and 2. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 344 and 348. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
