What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Where: A portion of northeast Nevada, in Elko County, including a portion of I-80 between Deeth and Wells, mile markers 330 to 350. When: Until 545 PM PDT.

What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nevada, in Elko County, including a portion of I-80 between Deeth and Wells, mile markers 330 to 350. * WHEN...Until 545 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 241 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.8 and 1.1 inches of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Central Elko County http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
