* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of north central Nevada, including the following county, Lander. * WHEN...Until 730 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 422 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Elder Creek, Moss Creek, Italian Creek, Cain Creek, Middle Fork Mill Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Ferris Creek and Mill Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... portions of State Route 305 between Battle Mountain and Austin. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
