What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Over the former Ward Fire Burn Scar across Southern White Pine County in northeastern Nevada... * WHEN...Until 700 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas including over the former Ward Fire Burn Scar. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 256 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.1 and 0.3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
