* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Kings (Brooklyn) and Queens. * WHEN...Until 500 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 203 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated approaching thunderstorms with heavy rain. Minor flooding is expected in the advisory area. Rainfall of 1/2 to 1 inch is expected over the area. Some locations that could experience flooding include... Jamaica, Flatbush, Flushing, Coney Island, Kennedy Airport, Forest Hills, Canarsie, Bayside, Whitestone, Howard Beach, Ozone Park, Sheepshead Bay and Little Neck. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
