...The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Oklahoma... North Fork Red River near Carter affecting Beckham, Greer and Kiowa Counties. For the North Fork Red River...including Carter...elevated river levels are forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 1030 PM CDT. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Fork Red River near Carter. * WHEN...From this morning to Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Expect flooding of low-bottom fields and private roads in Beckham... Greer and Kiowa counties... and in park areas around the edge of Altus-Lugert Lake. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.4 feet. Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
