Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Arroyo, Maunabo, Patillas, Yabucoa... * WHEN...Until 615 AM AST. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 315 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen over the last hours. PR-184 near Rio Grande de Patillas. Also, Rio Guayanes in Yabucoa is elevated.
