* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Berkeley County in southeastern South Carolina... Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina... Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 515 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall over North Charleston. Up to 2 inches of rain has fallen and an additional 1 to 2 inches could fall through 645 PM, resulting in urban flooding. If heavy rainfall does not weaken soon, a Flash Flood Warning may be needed. Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek, Hanahan, I-26/I-526 Interchange, Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Ladson, Daniel Island, Charleston Airport and Magnolia Gardens.
