Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Calhoun County in central South Carolina... Southwestern Clarendon County in central South Carolina... East Central Orangeburg County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 556 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elloree, Santee State Park, Santee, Cameron, Vance, Poplar Creek Landing, Stumphole Landing, Yonder Field, Mill Creek Marina and Campground, St. Paul and Indian Bluff Recreation Park. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 91 and 106. Interstate 26 between mile markers 149 and 160. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
