* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Calhoun County in central South Carolina... Southeastern Richland County in central South Carolina... Sumter County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 913 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sumter, Shaw Air Base, South Sumter, Eastover, Oakland, Poinsett State Park, Millwood, Sumter County Airport, Mulberry, Gadsden, Congaree National Park, Mayesville, Pinewood, Wedgewood, Stateburg, Cherryvale, Cane Savannah, Dinkins Mill, Dalzell and Privateer. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
