* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina... Colleton County in southeastern South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 415 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Thunderstorms have continued to develop across the Edisto Island area over the last 60 to 90 minutes. Radar estimates suggest that 1 to 2 inches of rain has already fallen, with isolated amounts up to around 3 inches likely. An additional 1 to 2 inches will be possible before the storms dissipate. Minor flooding is possible, and could impact Highway 174 across Edisto Island into Edisto Beach. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Edisto Beach, Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, Rockville, Edisto Island, Edisto Beach State Park and Fenwick.
