* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Charleston County in southeastern South Carolina... Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 430 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Delemar Crossroads into parts of West Ashley. As much as 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen across inland portions of lower Charleston County with lesser amount elsewhere. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall through 615 PM and extend back into Downtown Charleston through the period. Some locations that will experience flooding include... North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, Johns Island, Downtown Charleston, James Island, Daniel Island, Hollywood, Ravenel and Sullivan's Island.
