Your message should describe the specific location, address, or intersection where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Cherokee County and northeastern Spartanburg County in upstate South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 545 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 148 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain is expected to lead to minor flooding in a few locations. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gaffney, Pacolet Mills, Cowpens, Mayo, Chesnee, Cowpens National Battlefield, Thicketty, Saratt and Fingerville. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
