Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...West Central Lancaster County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lancaster, Springdale, USC Lancaster, Irwin, Andrew Jackson State Park, Van Wyck, Arrowood Estates, Lancaster Mill, McWhirter Airfield and Camp Creek Fire Station. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
