* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Western Lancaster County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1247 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lancaster, Springdale, Elgin, USC Lancaster, Irwin, Andrew Jackson State Park, Van Wyck, Buford, Arrowood Estates, Lancaster Mill, Camp Creek Fire Station, Unity Fire Station, McWhirter Airfield, McDonald Green Elementary School, Antioch, Bear Creek Park, Kirk Air Base, Bell Town Fire Station and Pleasant Hill. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
