* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Lexington County in central South Carolina... Central Richland County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 612 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, West Columbia, Cayce, Forest Acres, Springdale, St. Andrews, Dentsville, Oak Grove, South Congaree, Pine Ridge, Arcadia Lakes, Five Points, SC State Fair Grounds, West Columbia Riverwalk, Riverbanks Zoo, Columbia International University, SC State Farmer's Market and Columbia Metro Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 126 between mile markers 0 and 3. Interstate 26 between mile markers 104 and 119. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 59 and 78.
