Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central McCormick County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 403 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... McCormick, Mccormick County Airport, Plum Branch, Hawe Creek Campground and Baker Creek State Park. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
