* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Central Richland County in central South Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 839 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Forest Acres, Dentsville, Arcadia Lakes, Sesquicentennial State Park, Woodfield, Killian, Villages at Sandhill, Fort Jackson and Lake Carolina. This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 72 and 79. Interstate 77 between mile markers 12 and 23. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
