What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Where: A portion of West Tennessee, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Decatur and Henderson. When: Until 130 AM CDT.

What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Decatur and Henderson. * WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1032 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Natchez Trace State Forest, Natchez Trace State Park, Parsons, Decaturville, Sardis, Darden, Montgomery, Scotts Hill, Hickory Forks, Bible Hill, Wilkinstown, Mount Tabor, Beacon, Garrett, Jeannette, Busseltown, Cozette, Perryville, Chesterfield and Largo. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
