Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Austin County in southeastern Texas... East Central Colorado County in southeastern Texas... Northwestern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas... Harris County in southeastern Texas... Southern Waller County in southeastern Texas... North Central Wharton County in southeastern Texas... * WHEN...Until 345 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 214 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Katy, Sealy, Brookshire, Eagle Lake, Hockley, East Bernard, Wallis, Fulshear, Simonton, San Felipe, Pattison, Orchard, Weston Lakes and Cinco Ranch. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
