Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Bexar County in south central Texas... Eastern Comal County in south central Texas... Northwestern Guadalupe County in south central Texas... Southeastern Hays County in south central Texas... * WHEN...Until 1145 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 849 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, Wimberley, Canyon Lake Dam, Randolph AFB, San Antonio Int Airport, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills and Bulverde. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
