* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...South Central Hidalgo County in deep south Texas... * WHEN...Until 945 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 830 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pharr, Hidalgo, South McAllen, J.c. Kelly Elementary School, Pharr Fire Station Three, Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, Las Milpas, South Alamo, Tierra Del Sol Golf Course, South Pharr Elementary School, Carman Elementary School, Mayfield Park, P S J A High School, Garcia Elementary School, San Juan Middle School, Austin Middle School, Pharr Police Academy, San Juan Public Library, San Juan City Hall and Valley View Junior High School. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
