...The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Texas... Canadian River at Amarillo 19N affecting Potter County. For the Canadian River...including Amarillo 19N...elevated river levels are forecast. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Canadian River at Amarillo 19N. * WHEN...From this evening to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Dirt road that runs east alongside the river channel becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek Flats Recreation Area, where primitive camping occurs. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 10:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 6.5 feet. Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 1.0 feet Sunday evening. Action stage is 6.0 feet. Flood stage is 7.0 feet. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
