...The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Utah... Virgin River At Virgin affecting Washington County. For the Virgin River...including Bloomington, Hurricane, Virgin, Springdale...elevated river levels are forecast. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Virgin River at Virgin. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 18.9 ft (8877 cfs), flooding will affect low lying developed areas near the town of Virgin. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 3:15 PM MDT Monday the stage was 9.3 feet (654 cfs). Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet (6996 cfs). Forecast...The river will rapidly rise but remain below flood stage with a maximum value of 17.9 feet (7857 cfs) between 4 and 6 PM and remain elevated through tonight. Action stage is 17.0 feet (6996 cfs). Flood stage is 18.9 feet (8877 cfs). http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
