* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern Virginia, including the following counties, in east central Virginia, Essex, King William, King and Queen, Richmond and Westmoreland. In eastern Virginia, Northumberland. * WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1147 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tappahannock, Warsaw, Saint Stephens Church, Callao, Dunnsville, Millers Tavern, Haynesville, Hague, Aylett, Kinsale, Beulahville, Coles Point, Mangohick, Westmoreland, Brays Fork, Mount Landing, Naylors Beach, Howertons, Dunbrooke and Ethel. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
