* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Surry County in southeastern Virginia... * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 515 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in the past 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area through 545 PM. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dendron, Elberon, Ellis Fork and Runnymede. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
