Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Milwaukee County in southeastern Wisconsin... Southwestern Ozaukee County in southeastern Wisconsin... Southern Washington County in southeastern Wisconsin... Northeastern Waukesha County in southeastern Wisconsin... * WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1228 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northern Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, Mequon, Whitefish Bay, Brown Deer, Sussex, Jackson, Fox Point, Thiensville, Germantown, Glendale, Butler, River Hills, Lannon and Shorewood. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
