At 1220 PM AKDT, River Watch reports the Yukon River breakup front is approaching Grayling. High water and heavy ice runs along the Yukon River may result in flooding. The Yukon River gage at Galena is recording 124.5 feet as of 730 AM AKDT on Saturday May 16th which is in the minor flooding category. The amount of water behind the ice jam that released along the Yukon River near the mouth of the Yuki River is higher than 2023 levels. Http://www.weather.gov/aprfc
