* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Cullman County in north central Alabama... Southwestern Morgan County in north central Alabama... Southeastern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama... * WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 251 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain is ending. However, flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Falkville, Holly Pond, Dodge City, Baldwin, Vinemont, West Point, Garden City, Logan, Phelan, Jones Chapel, Battleground, Crane Hill, Lacon, Bremen, Smith Lake and Massey. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
