...The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Florida... St. Marks River near Newport On Old Magnolia Rd affecting Wakulla and Leon Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...St. Marks River near Newport On Old Magnolia Rd. * WHEN...From Saturday evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, Water approaches the steps to an elevated residence on Old Magnolia Road in Wakulla County. Other elevated structures begin to be surrounded by water. Portions of the Natural Bridge State Park near the river begin to flood in Leon County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 10:00 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 6.6 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Saturday evening and continue rising to a crest of 8.7 feet Sunday evening.
