Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall from Hurricane Isaias continues. * WHERE...Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida... Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida... * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 753 AM CDT, broadcast media reported heavy rain in the warned area from Hurricane Isaias. Flooding is already occurring. Between 6 and 12 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wright, Fort Walton Beach, Crestview, Niceville, Destin, Eglin AFB, Milton, Valparaiso, Mary Esther, Bagdad, Ocean City, Lake Lorraine, Baker, Navarre, Shalimar, Laurel Hill, Cinco Bayou, Roeville, Point Baker and Navarre Beach. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
