...The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia...Tennessee... Toccoa/Ocoee River Above Copperhill TN affecting Polk and Fannin Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Toccoa/Ocoee River above Copperhill TN. * WHEN...From early this morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding begins of woodlands, fields and backyards of homes near the river upstream and downstream from the gage off Tennessee Highway 68 or Ocoee Street in Copperhill Tennessee. The rock access road to the gage will begin to flood. Flooding begins in the backyards of homes and the Horsebend Park in McCaysville Georgia. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 2:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 8.8 feet. Bankfull stage is 6.0 feet. Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:30 AM EDT Sunday was 8.8 feet.
