Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. Areas along Fourmile Creek are of most concern.

At 248 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. As much as 8 to 12 inches of rain has fallen since Thursday afternoon. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Des Moines, Ankeny, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Bondurant, Saylorville, Adventureland Amusement Park, Prairie Meadows, Iowa State Fairgrounds, Elkhart, Alleman, Ankeny Regional Airport, Weh-Weh-Neh-Kee State Park and Margo Frankel Woods State Park.
