What the bulletin says to do
A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as forecast precipitation 24 hours into the future. Changes to the rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may cause changes to these river forecasts. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued late tonight at 215 AM CDT.

...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois... East Branch Du Page River at Bolingbrook affecting DuPage and Will Counties. Du Page River at Shorewood affecting Will County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...East Branch Du Page River from Maple Avenue in Lisle downstream to confluence with West Branch DuPage River, including the Bolingbrook gauge. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, DuPage River Greenway Trail is threatened east of the river near Royce Road in Bolingbrook. Trails threatened at Green Valley Forest Preserve near Woodridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 7:40 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 18.0 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 20.3 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening.
