...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Big Blue River at Shelbyville. East Fork White River at Seymour. Flatrock River near Columbus. East Fork White River at Columbus. Driftwood River near Edinburgh. Muscatatuck River at Vernon. .Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to well over six inches overnight and continued rainfall today and tonight will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near Edinburgh should expect significant flooding as well. At the current time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect minor lowland flooding. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flatrock River near Columbus. * WHEN...From Thursday morning to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, During the January 2005 flood...river level was about 1 foot below the lowest berm along Flatrock Drive in the northeast end of Noblitt Lagoons near the junction of Washington St. and Riverside Dr. A few Noblitt Lagoons residents had wet basements. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 3.1 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 15.8 feet tomorrow evening.
