...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Big Blue River at Shelbyville. East Fork White River at Seymour. Flatrock River near Columbus. East Fork White River at Columbus. Driftwood River near Edinburgh. Muscatatuck River at Vernon. .Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to well over six inches overnight and continued rainfall today and tonight will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near Edinburgh should expect significant flooding as well. At the current time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect minor lowland flooding. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Driftwood River near Edinburgh. * WHEN...From Thursday evening to Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Extensive flooding along Driftwood River in northern Bartholomew County and of Double Y Saddle Club area. Tannehill Rd west of bridge and CR 325W south of Lowell Rd are flooded. Water is on or very close to Lowell Rd and the CR 250W intersection east of the bridge. Water is very close or possibly in several residences and seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W. Water is deeper on CR 330W just south of Ohio Ridge Rd and CR 500N west of CR 250W. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 9:30 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 2.5 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow evening to a crest of 15.5 feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
