...The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Mississinewa River near Marion affecting Wabash, Grant and Miami Counties. Salamonie River below Warren affecting Jay, Huntington, Blackford, Wabash and Wells Counties. .Heavy rainfall has fell across portions of the Upper Wabash basin over the past 24 to 48 hours. Additional rainfall is expected. For the Mississinewa River...including Marion...Minor flooding is forecast. For the Salamonie River...including Warren, Portland...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Salamonie River below Warren. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The river reaches flood stage with minor flooding of low agricultural land and roads nearest the river. Belleville Road and East Flowing Well Road northwest of Warren become impassable and isolated nearby residences. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 10:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 10.5 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 13.1 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow evening.
