...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers... West Fork of Whitewater River at Alpine. East Fork Whitewater River at Abington. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/iln. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...West Fork of Whitewater River at Alpine. * WHEN...Until Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding impacts structures in especially the south side of Connersville, as well as Laurel in Franklin county. Flooding becomes widespread through other low areas, including near Alpine and Nulltown. In Connersville, properties between Dora Avenue and the river on the east side of Connersville incur flooding, as well as along Grand Avenue in the south side of Connersville. Properties impacted in Laurel are mainly along and west of West South Street. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 7:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 12.3 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 18.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon. Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
