...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Big Blue River at Shelbyville. East Fork White River at Seymour. Flatrock River near Columbus. East Fork White River at Columbus. Driftwood River near Edinburgh. Muscatatuck River at Vernon. .Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to well over six inches overnight and continued rainfall today and tonight will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near Edinburgh should expect significant flooding as well. At the current time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect minor lowland flooding. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record. * WHERE...Big Blue River at Shelbyville. * WHEN...From this afternoon to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, Maximum good reading before wellhouse is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 9:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.8 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 19.4 feet tomorrow evening.
