...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Wildcat Creek near Lafayette. Wabash River at Lafayette. .Additional heavy rainfall Wednesday night has resulted in renewed minor river flooding around Lafayette...both on the Wildcat Creek and Wabash River at Lafayette. Flooding should end on the Wildcat Creek by early Friday...and on the Wabash at Lafayette on Saturday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wildcat Creek near Lafayette. * WHEN...From early this morning to tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Flooding of lowland areas in progress in portions of Tippecanoe County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 2:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.6 feet. Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:45 AM EDT Thursday was 10.6 feet. Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.5 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
