* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Chase County in east central Kansas... * WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 746 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Bazaar, Elmdale, Matfield Green, Cedar Point, Tallgrass Prairie, Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, Hymer, Saffordville and Wonsevu. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
