* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Gallatin County in northern Kentucky... Owen County in northern Kentucky... * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1104 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. Some locations that may experience flooding include... Owenton, Monterey, Gratz, Elmer Davis Lake, Long Ridge, Elk Lake, Squiresville, New Liberty, Needmore, Beechwood, Wheatley, Harmony and Eagle Hill.
