* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Missouri, including the following counties, Howell, Oregon and Shannon. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 258 AM CDT, The Department of Transportation reported flooding in the Mountain View area from previous heavy rain. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following low water crossings... Whites Creek at Highway K, Sycamore Creek at Highway H, Piney Creek at County Road 228, Little Rocky Creek at Highway H, Gill Branch at Highway Y, Rocky Creek at Highway H and Thomas Hollow at Highway H. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mountain View, Winona, Alton, Birch Tree, Montier, Thomasville, Greer, Wilderness, Couch, Teresita and Ozark National Scenic Riverways. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
