* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following county, Surry and southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll, Floyd and Patrick. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 417 AM EDT, Flooding continues as several creeks and rivers remain well out of their banks due to runoff from heavy rain earlier tonight. This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Indian Creek, Beaver Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Anglin Branch, Archies Creek and Ararat River. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Airy, Flat Rock, Hillsville, Dobson, Stuart, Floyd and Willis. For flooding safety information, please visit http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
