...The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska... Maple Creek Near Nickerson affecting Dodge County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Maple Creek near Nickerson. * WHEN...For this evening. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water will begin to overflow Nickerson Road just north of Nickerson. In addition, water begins to overflow in between two bridges located 0.5 mile and 0.75 mile north of the main channel. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 7:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.3 feet. Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage to 11.9 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late this evening to 6.4 feet early Sunday morning. It will rise to 6.8 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. Flood stage is 11.5 feet. Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.9 feet on 05/05/2003. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
