* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Northeastern Gallia County in southeastern Ohio... East Central Jackson County in southeastern Ohio... Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Southeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Heavy rain has ended across the area. However, runoff from the previous heavy rainfall, will result in continued flooding of mainly larger creeks and some rivers in the warned area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 649 PM EDT, and area rain gauges indicated between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since this morning. People should remain vigilant tonight for lingering flooding of roads and low-lying locations as there are several road closures reported within the warned area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Pomeroy, Rio Grande, Middleport, Chester, Syracuse, Cheshire, Adamsville and Dexter. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
