What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Impacts: Heavy rain has ended across the area. However, light to moderate rainfall early this evening, in combination with runoff from the previous heavy rainfall, will result in continued flooding of mainly larger creeks and some rivers in the warned area....

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Northern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Southwestern Morgan County in southeastern Ohio... Northeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... Southwestern Washington County in southeastern Ohio... West Central Wood County in northwestern West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Heavy rain has ended across the area. However, light to moderate rainfall early this evening, in combination with runoff from the previous heavy rainfall, will result in continued flooding of mainly larger creeks and some rivers in the warned area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 605 PM EDT, Doppler radar and area rain gauges indicated between 3 and 5 inches of rain has fallen since midnight last night. People should remain vigilant tonight for lingering flooding of roads and low-lying locations. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Athens, Belpre, Nelsonville, Albany, Coolville, Lake Hope State Park, Washington, Chauncey, Buchtel, Jacksonville, Trimble, Stroud Run State Park, The Plains and Little Hocking. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
