What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... West Central Roane County in central West Virginia... Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia... Eastern Mason County in western West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1032 PM EDT, doppler radar and automated gauges indicated thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The heaviest of the rain was over. Emergency management reported flooding near Ripley and south of Ravenswood. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ripley, Ravenswood, Sandyville, Kenna, Fairplain, Evans, Given, Statts Mills, Cottageville, Gay, Portland and Mount Alto. This includes Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 124 and 150. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
