What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Southeastern Vinton County in southeastern Ohio... North Central Mason County in western West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1107 AM EDT, Doppler radar and area rain gauges indicated around 2 inches of rain have fell from thunderstorms earlier this morning. Even though the heavy rainfall has since ended, flooding will continue. Emergency Management reported State Route 733 is closed due to flooding near Willis Hill, and State Route 143 at State Route 7 is also closed due to flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pomeroy, Rutland, Chester, Wilkesville, Harrisonville, Darwin, Dexter, Dyesville, Carpenter and Salem Center. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
